Frances D. Augustine, 93, of Rhodes Place, formerly of McCombs Circle, Union Township, died Thursday, March 4, 2010, in Golden Hill Nursing Home.
She was born Oct. 31, 1916, in New Castle, a daughter of the late Peter and Teresa Caliern Rozzi. She was married to Patsy R. Augustine, who died on June 29, 1966.
Mrs. Augustine was a decorator, having retired after 35 years from Shenango China.
She was a member of St. Vitus Church and enjoyed needle work, bowling, and playing cards.
She is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth “Betty” Tate and her husband, Mark, of Tampa, Fla., eight grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Joseph R. Augustine, three brothers, Albert, Victor, and Jimmy Rozzi, and four sisters, Angeline Cialella, Clara Trozzi, Mary Ross, and Viola Rizzo.
Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Ave.
A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Monday for St. Vitus Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. The Rev. Sean Francis will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
