Pauline C. Memo, 85, of 1114 Dewey Ave. passed away the afternoon of March 7, 2010, at Jameson Hospital.
Pauline was born in New Castle on May 11, 1924, a daughter of the late Fred and Viola Barnhardt DeFiore.
She married Sam Memo on Sept. 12, 1953. He preceded her in death on April 28, 2002.
Pauline had worked at Golden Hill Nursing Home in housekeeping. In earlier years, she worked as a line painter for Shenanago China.
Pauline enjoyed cooking and baking, and was an avid Steelers fan. Most important to her was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by three daughters, Diane Dattilo, Sandy Rivera and her husband, Michael, and Debbie Cuhran and her husband, Joe, all of New Castle; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Pauline was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Harry Dattilo; three brothers, Stanley, Ronald and John DeFiore; and two sisters, Madeline Gaibis and Mary White.
Visitation is today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Mill St.
A service will be conducted tomorrow at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor John Tice of First Baptist Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
