Dorothy Laverne Cooper, 77

Dorothy L. Chadbolt Cooper, 77, of Cocoa Beach, Fla., a native of New Castle, died Dec. 12, 2009, in Wueastoff Hospital, Rockridge, Fla.
Born Oct. 22, 1932, in New Castle, she was a daughter of the late John and Elva Fleming Chadbolt. Dorothy was employed by Shenango China for many years. She loved helping people, animals and lost causes.
Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Smith of New Castle; a son, William Cooper of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; a sister and brother-in-law, Ellen Johnson and her husband, Jack, of Northville, Mich.; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Baskeyfield; a son, Richard L. Baskeyfield; a sister, June Steinbrink; and two brothers, Jack Chadbolt and William Chadbolt.
There were no calling hours. Dorothy requested that those who knew her, say a pray for her.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Local arrangements where entrusted to the Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 S. Mill St.
