Patrick Mitchell, 75

Patrick Mitchell, 75, of 12453 Hickory Drive, Conneaut Lake, formerly of New Castle, passed away the morning of July 24, 2010, in Meadville Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 25, 1935, in New Castle and was the son of the late Arthur and Elizabeth McConnell Mitchell.
He married the former Linda Lawton on April 18, 1957. They were married 53 years. She survives.
He was a 1954 graduate of Shenango High School.
Mr. Mitchell retired after 37 years of service from Penn Power, where he worked as a meterman-B at the New Castle Meter Department.
He was Protestant.
He was a member of the Sportmens Club and the Linesville Social of Station 3 Fire Department, both of Conneaut Lake. He was a trustee of Utility Workers Union Local 140 and also a past member of Penn Power’s Employee Assistance Program.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Barbara George and husband Robert of Edinburg, and Lynn Beke and husband James of Magnolia, Texas; and one grandchild, Joshua Beke.
There will be no calling hours.
A memorial service will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road. The Rev. Matthew Bupp will officiate.
Burial will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
