Brandon R PitzerBrandon Pitzer, 25, of Mount Jackson passed away at 1 p.m. July 26, 2010, after a brave struggle with cancer.
Brandon was born in New Castle on April 14, 1985, a son of Tim J. Pitzer and Linda Myers Pitzer.
Brandon was a graduate of Mohawk High School’s class of 2004 and had just received his bachelor’s degree in marketing from Slippery Rock University.
Brandon was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church in Enon Valley.
For enjoyment, Brandon loved hunting, fishing and traveling. He enjoyed all outdoor activities and loved his family deeply
In addition to his mother, Linda, and father, Tim, Brandon leaves behind his significant other, Katie Pitts of New Middletown, Ohio; sisters, LouAnn Eisenhut and husband Erik of Boston, and Jennifer and April Pitzer of Mount Jackson; a brother, Brett Pitzer of Mount Jackson; a nephew and godson, Max Eisenhut of Boston; many cousins, aunts and uncles; and Brandon and Katie’s beloved Lab, Marlee.
Brandon was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
The family will receive friends at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, 2429 Wilmington Road, today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and at Bethel Presbyterian Church on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m.
The service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the church with the Rev. Mark Tippin officiating.
Brandon will be laid to rest in Bethel Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Western Pennsylvania Cancer Institute of West Penn Hospital, patient care fund, 4800 Friendship Ave., Pittsburgh, Pa. 15224.
