William A. Mancino, 92

William A. MancinoWilliam A. ‘Woody’ Mancino, 92, of 216 W. Madison Ave. passed away the afternoon of July 28, 2010, at his residence.
Born July 15, 1918 in New Castle, he was a son of the late Florindo and Orlanda Mangino Mancino. He was married for 14 years to the former Margaret Lombardi. She preceded him in death. He married the former Josephine DeMarco on April 11, 1954. They were married for 56 years. She survives.
Mr. Mancino retired from Shenango China, where he worked as a caster.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of the VFW Post 315, the ITAM, the American Legion Post 343 and was a former member of the Eagles Post 455.
Mr. Mancino was an avid golfer.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish.
In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, William Mancino and wife, Patricia, of New Castle, and Thomas Mancino and wife, Melissa, of Eden Prairie, Minn.; two sisters, Mary DiMuccio and Louise Stone, both of New Castle; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Carpenter.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 941 S. Mill Street.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent de Paul Parish. The Rev. Steve Palsa will officiate. A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM.
Burial will be in St. Lucy Cemetery.
Military rites will be conducted at the cemetery by the New Castle Area Veterans Honor Guard.
