Jerry Lee GrinnenJerry Lee Grinnen, 42, of Old Route 18 Wampum, New Beaver Borough, died on Thursday, July 29, 2010, at his residence following a lengthy illness.
Born Nov. 29, 1967, in New Castle, he was a son of the late Gerald C. ‘Jerry’ Grinnen, who passed away Oct. 3, 2005 and Margaret ‘Peg’ Grinnen of Wampum. He was married to Vickie Ice Grinnen for 23 years.
He operated Jerry’s Greenhouse in Wampum for many years. He also logged and was a heavy equipment operator for Engineers Local 66. He was affiliated with the Wampum United Methodist Church.
Jerry loved hunting and vegetable and flower gardening. He especially enjoyed time with his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his mother and his wife, survivors include two sons, Adam Grinnen and his fiancé, Shannon Hall, of Orrtanna, Pa., and Briar Patrick Grinnen at home, a daughter, Amanda Grinnen and her fiancé, John Baker, of Wampum, sister, Sue and Ron Anderson of Wampum and two grandchildren, Madison and John Baker III.
Visiting hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 tomorrow at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main St. Wampum. A service will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. David Alleman of the Wampum United Methodist Church officiating.
Burial will follow in Clinton Cemetery.
